When
youre dating and even when you are in the first
few years of marriage; a couple is very attentive to each
others needs. Then something happens. That cute
little way your man used to leave his things about can
start to really bug you! You have children and get busy
and tired. Complacency moves into your home. Complacency
can be so sneaky that you dont even remember how
it got there. But, got there it did! Thats when
you can really start to feel like youre living on
auto-pilot and your husband becomes a business associate
instead of a soul mate. So how do you guard your marriage
from getting complacent? Make it a habit of being attentive
to your spouse. Sit and share with each other once in
awhile. Do little guestures like getting your husband
a cold drink while he is working outside or rubbing his
feet or shoulders after a grueling day at work. Dont
forget to flirt! Flirting is still fun when you are married
and your charm will keep the fun going on otherwise normal
days. If you are attentive, loving, and make little efforts
towards your husband, he will catch that mood and start
to make little efforts in your direction as well. Dont
get complacent and neglect each other emotionally or allow
complacency to rob your marriage of its enjoyment. The
little bit of time and effort it takes you to ensure the
spark stays in your union is worth it.
